Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S Specs, Boost Up with 1.4GHz CPU and 3D Sweep Panorama Technology

Ahead of the IFA event in Berlin, Sony Ericsson unveiled today a refresh to its ultra-slim Xperia Arc smartphone, built with a faster processor and new imaging technology.

The new Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S is powered by the same Snapdragon S2 processor, yet ticking at a faster clock speed at 1.4GHz. Sony is also introducing a new feature on this phone called 3D sweep panorama technology, in which the phone’s camera can capture 2D images, convert the images to 3D, and is then viewed by connecting the phone to a 3D TV using the HDMI output.

The Xperia Arc S still carries Android Gingerbread, and the rest of the specs are pretty much similar to the original Xperia Arc.

The Xperia Arc S is expected to be available globally in Pure White, Midnight Blue, Misty Silver, Gloss Black, and Sakura Pink come October. Official pricing is still yet to be known.
