Globe’s PowerSurf promo already ended last June 30, 2011 – but the telco did a re-launch of it just today.
For those who missed Globe PowerSurf when it was first launched in February, it’s actually a per-minute web-browsing offered to Globe prepaid subscribers. PowerSurf is available in 3 denominations: PowerSurf15 (1 hour internet, consumable in 1 day for Php 15), PowerSurf30 (3 hours internet, consumable in 3 days for Php 30), PowerSurf50 (5 hours internet, consumable in 5 days for Php 50).
To register, just:
Text POWERSURF15 to 8888 (for 1 hour, Php 15, valid for 1 day)
Text POWERSURF30 to 8888 (for 3 hours, Php 30, valid for 1 day)
Text POWERSURF50 to 8888 (for 5 hours, Php 50, valid for 3 days)
I’m thinking this is Globe’s, should I say “temporary answer”, to Smart’s volume-based Always On plan -- but I don’t think PowerSurf promo is really at par with the latter. Still, PowerSurf is a good offer particularly to those who prefer a per-minute internet browsing scheme rather than a per-volume basis of downloaded data.
