m.Globe, Free Portal to Access Facebook, Twitter, Email, News Feeds, and Google Search!

So you think you really need an exclusive internet phone to access services in your network? Globe says you didn’t!

Well, should I say, as an obvious attempt to compete with SMART’s Netphone - Globe Telecom is introducing a new service called m.Globe. Basically, m.Globe is an all-in-one mobile internet portal which allows any phone to access Facebook, Twitter, and Emails for FREE! With m.Globe, you can also do Google searches, read news feeds, watch UAAP games, check movie schedules and previews – all for free!

Here’s the screenshot of my status update on Facebook via m.Globe.

I’ve been using the service for two days now since I got the advisory, and I must say with m.Globe, Globe Telecom will score once again its subscribers.

Using the service is as easy as the pie. Using both your prepaid or postpaid phone, just text M.GLOBE to 2910; and you’ll receive an SMS from Globe with a link to the m.Globe portal. Or you can visit http://m.globe.com.ph/ right in your mobile browser. But make sure to use MyGlobe Connect in your APN settings.

Please note though that charging rates may apply if you browse subsequent pages or sites outside the m.Globe portal, unless you’re subscribed to a mobile internet promo like PowerSurf for Prepaid and PowerSurf for Postpaid.
