Early this year, Sony unveiled at least 4 smartphones in the Xperia lineup which include the
Xperia Arc,
Xperia Neo, Xperia Pro, and Xperia Play.
Except for Xperia Pro, the other three handsets have already been released and in fact now available here in the Philippines.
But Sony Ericsson has something more for this year. Just in the recent CommunicAsia event in Singapore, the joint-venture firm unveiled additional 3 new phones coming in stores by Q3. Two of which will complement the existing Xperia smartphone lineup, the
Xperia Ray and
Xperia Active, and one feature phone called
Sony Ericsson txt donning a full QWERTY keyboard.

SE Xperia Ray |
The
SE Xperia Ray has the most fabulous package among the three. It’s a sleek touchscreen phone with aluminum body at 9.4mm thin, 3.3-inch Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine, 8.1MP rear camera with Exmor R sensor, 1GHz processor, 1500 mAh battery, and running Android Gingerbread OS.

SE Xperia Active |
The
SE Xperia Active on the other hand is a rugged sports-centric touchscreen phone. It also runs Android Gingerbread, 1GHz processor, a smaller 3-inch Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine, 5MP rear camera capable of HD video recording, and 1200 mAh battery. Xperia Active is said to be dust proof, water resistant, and has that unique “Wet-Finger Tracking” feature which is probably good for people like me with slippery fingertips.

Sony Ericsson txt |
The
Sony Ericsson Txt doesn’t have that smartphone prowess, yet it has a decent build inside and out in its category. It’s a feature phone with full QWERTY keyboard, 2.6-inch screen, 3.2MP camera capable of video recording, Wi-Fi connectivity, and designed with a “Friends” application for Facebook and Twitter interaction.
The Xperia Ray, Xperia Active, and SE Txt are expected for release come Q3 this year. Hit feature videos after the break...
