First Glimpse of Nintendo’s Wii U Console, and its Handheld-Inspired Controller

Look. Nintendo’s next generation game console will be called Wii U, as announced at the ongoing E3 Expo 2011.

And you know what; Nintendo paired the console with something more interesting, if not weird. There’s this controller in which at your first glance, will remind you the defining features of the handhelds already out in the market.

It has a microphone, gyroscope, an accelerometer, dual analog controls, two shoulder buttons and two triggers, front-facing camera, stylus, and a 6.2-inch touch screen display. And if you’re wondering why I said such controller is interesting, well, I think It’s one of a kind just yet.

Nintendo said Wii U is coming to your living room come 2012, so I guess that would still be a longer wait. Eh?
