Globe Launched Web Conferencing Service

Back in March, Globe Telecom showcased its collaboration service called TelePresence in its own facility at Asiatown IT Park here in Cebu.



I reckon myself having been invited by Globe Telecom together with other media people to witness its own TelePresense Rooms. By then, I learned Globe is actually offering collaboration services from small to large enterprises like Audio Conferencing and TelePresence.



Both Audio Conferencing and TelePresence are solutions for real-time communications and collaboration for a particular group of people in a business. Only that both have limitations when it comes to the type of devices to use, the maximum number of people who can join the conference, bandwidth, most importantly – the cost, and among others.

Being said that, Globe Telecom just launched recently a new service on top of its current collaboration portfolio called Web Conferencing. Web Conferencing enables an organization to collaborate anywhere, anytime, and any device through the internet, without straining IT resources. The telco’s Web Conferencing service is powered by Cisco WebEx, targeting small, medium, and large enterprises in the country.

Globe expands collaboration portfolio with Web Conferencing



Globe Telecom recently announced the launch of its Web Conferencing service, the company’s latest addition to its portfolio of innovative and state-of-the-art collaboration solutions. Powered by Cisco WebEx, the service allows users to connect and conduct meetings with virtually anyone and anywhere in real time. It is offered through Globe Business, the group in Globe Telecom that serves small, medium and large enterprises in the Philippines with a comprehensive range of ICT solutions relevant to various business needs.

Globe Web Conferencing combines desktop sharing through a web browser with phone conferencing and video, enabling faster distribution of information. Further, it can immediately connect users from remote locations and allows them to make decisions faster without the need for travel.



This collaboration solution also enables business customers to stay connected with their colleagues wherever they are. With Globe Web Conferencing, users can take part in any web conference right from their mobile devices. They can schedule, host and attend meetings straight from their iPhones, iPads, Androids, BlackBerry handsets, or any Wi-Fi or 3G-enabled mobile device.
