Yahoo is rolling out a new feature to its search engine called Search Direct.
Basically, Yahoo Search Direct works in a way in which a user gets the results by displaying it before a particular query is completed. Sounds familiar? Well, it’s actually similar to Google Instant in which it predicts search results based on what the person types and have the results presented to the user, dynamically.
But unlike Google Instant which delivers a website-centered search results, Yahoo Search Direct cover result categories including those from the top trending searches, movies, TV, weather, local, travel, stocks, and shopping. By default, the moment you click on the search box, you’ll be presented with the trending searches; and hovering on the list of trending searches, you’ll get the aggregated relevant results. Type the first character of your query, and there you will see Search Direct in action.
