Mozilla just released the final build of its popular free and open source web browser – the Firefox 4. Firefox 4 is now available to download for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux.
Highlights of Firefox 4 include an optimized speed, in which the browser is claimed to perform up to 6 times faster than previous releases; revamped and streamlined interface bringing new features like App Tabs, Switch to Tab, and Panorama; Private and secure synchronization allowing users to sync Awesome Bar history, bookmarks, passwords, and form data across multiple computers and mobile devices; Security features like Do Not Track opting out tracking methods used on websites for behavioral advertising, HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), and Content Security Policy to prevent cross-scripting attacks; and lastly – Firefox 4 brings cutting edge tools and support for web developers.
