Hail all those great and high-end smartphones launched in the previous year! Hail more for the iPhone 4!
Apple’s flagship smartphone to date has been awarded as the “Best Mobile Device” at the Global Mobile Awards (GMA) during this year’s MWC. Here’s the judges’ comment about the device:
The iPhone 4 has been chosen definitely as the best among the best because it satisfies the judges by its innovative functional and physical design, its intuitive user interface, the wide range of applications and features it supported, uniqueness, it offers great value for money as reflected on its price point, and of course – its contribution to Apple’s overall market success in 2010.
Other devices nominated for the “Best Mobile Device” award include: Samsung Galaxy S, HTC Desire, LG Optimus 7 and BlackBerry Torch 9800.
On the other note, the Taiwan-based smartphone maker - HTC Corporation – has been recognized as the “Device Manufacturer of the Year”. We can recall that HTC boosted its total market share in 2010 as compared to a year earlier according to the latest Gartner report. Here’s what the GMA judges said about HTC:

Great screen, sharp design, fantastic materials, and phenomenal ecosystem for app developers. In a tight race, the iPhone 4 built on the success of its predecessors to set the pace for smart phones.Well, oh well. I’m personally not an Apple fan boy, but everything says it all; and to be honest, I didn’t blundered myself having one.

In particular, it has proven an exceptionally popular and enduring phone manufacturer. The HTC Desire set the bar for Android phones across much of the world in 2010. Packed with great features, this is an enduring product that has performed consistently well.Based on experience with HTC Desire, I agree. Though it didn’t beat the iPhone 4 as the best mobile device, still – we have to congratulate HTC for the terrific job in crafting such great device! Won’t you?
