This is exciting news for Android users here in the Philippines.
Google announced recently that Android Market will increase consumer access and developer support for paid applications in several new countries including the Philippines. That means Paid Apps at the Android Market that were usually not available in the country can now be purchased through Google Checkout, which supports local Mastercard and Visa credit cards.
Android Paid Apps are originally priced in US Dollars, but you can also see prices from the developer’s currency as well its Peso equivalent upon purchase.
To date, there are already 131 countries including the Philippines where Android users can purchase paid apps from over 200,000 applications (including Free Apps) in Android Market. [via PR]
