Globe Telecom subscribers, you certainly have less chance of reading this advisory earlier today. Not unless you have an alternative internet connection from other ISPs.
This seems like a worthy bit of information to share, just in case you’re wondering why you have difficulty sending SMS, making calls, or using mobile internet. Globe said there’s a fiber cut that caused the problem in selected areas in Visayas and Mindanao. However, it seems like subscribers in Luzon are also affected. I personally started experiencing the problem in my phone line Monday afternoon.

ADVISORY: Globe Telecom experienced a service interruption covering selected areas in Visayas and Mindanao due to a fiber cut. As a result, subscribers may experience difficulty in sending text messages, making calls or using mobile internet in these areas.Though quite disappointing for Globe subscribers, at least the telco thought of having this advisory. We can’t do anything but wait until the service is restored. Surely, I’ll keep you posted.
Globe assures its subscribers that service restoration is ongoing. Subscribers will be informed as soon as service is back to normal.
