ASUS Eee Pad Transformer: Philippines Price and Launch Update

So here it is, folks. The Honeycomb tablet we’ve first seen at CES 2011 from the Taiwan-based company, ASUS, will be available in your favorite local gadget stores anytime soon.

And when I say “soon”, the marketing chap from ASUS told me it would be on the last week of June or first week of July. And the official price is somewhere between Php 29 and 30K. To be more specific, the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer will hit stores with a price tag of Php 29,995. That already includes the docking station with integrated keyboard which makes the Eee Pad Transformer, well – a transformer. Sans the docking station, you’ll get the device just for Php 22,995. And one last thing to note, I think it’s already the 32GB variant.

Flaunting a 10.1-inch IPS touchscreen display, the Eee Pad Transformer is one of the Android Honeycomb tablets powered by a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor. It comes with 1 GB memory, 5MP auto-focus camera (capable of HD video recording and playback), 1.2MP front-facing camera, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR support, HDMI, and among others. More of this tablet soon, probably when we see units on local shelves. So, how the price sounds to you?

Update: ASUS Eee Pad Transformer in Philippines gets official.
