Just few minutes after Globe posted an article on its own corporate blog earlier today, I received this SMS notifying me of a free mobile browsing the telco will offer as a way of making up for the service interruption the other day.
It reads,
If you’re a Globe user, you are most likely to receive similar SMS notifying you of the free service. I was following the updates of the incident the other day, and it’s good to see Globe did a great job in restoring the service on the same day, despite of the multiple fiber cuts (due to weather according to initial findings) that caused the problem.
I’m thinking it’s really appreciative Globe is also doing this initiative to its subscribers. Something that should be done by all of the telcos I guess. [via]
It reads,
As a valued customer, Globe is sending you FREE mobile browsing within the next few days. This is our way of saying “thank you” for being with Globe and our way of making up for the May 9 service interruption. Globe will send you a text no later than May 17 as soon as this special service is available for your use. This is to show that you are truly important to us.Globe will also offer free call and text to other subscribers, probably depending on the type of account.
