Apple iPad Hype in the Philippines, Launch Date and Prices Get Hotter!

This has been the talk of the town since the past couple of days. Just got tipped off by an online friend, Techpinas, saying the Apple iPad will officially arrive here in the Philippines, at least at the Power Mac Center in Luzon this week.

All variants of the iPad will be available (most probably) this Friday, December 17th. See price schedule below.

Interestingly, one authorized Apple store in Ateneo de Manila University, the iCampus is said to be selling the tablets at a cheaper prices. See the leaked flyer below. (Thanks Sir Yuga!)

I called the Apple resellers here in Cebu about the iPad launch in the country, but sad to say Cebuanos won’t see it on local shelves on the same date. But no worry though as it appears the iCenter has something for us this Friday, too. Ever wonder what is it? Well, just stay tuned as I’m still waiting for the email to get through my inbox.
