Cherry Mobile Q70 Quad-SIM Phone Goes On Sale ‘Till Tomorrow

Cherry Mobile is having another promo, this time for its first quad-SIM multimedia phone – the Q70.

The Cherry Mobile Q70 has a suggested retail price of Php 3499, but as an introductory sale you can get it just for Php 2,999 only until tomorrow, August 16, 2011 – and according to the flyer we got, it’s available in all CM concept stores and kiosks nationwide.

Cherry Mobile Q70 Quad-SIM phone is capable of handling 4 SIMs, hence the name, all in standby mode. Here in the Philippines, this could be the best phone to choose if you want to carry all 4 mobile numbers from Smart, Globe, Sun Cellular, TM, Talk N Text, or Red Mobile. It's ideal for e-Loading business, huh? Additional features of Q70 include mobile TV with recording, front and rear cameras, 3.5mm audio jack, wireless FM radio, multimedia player, Bluetooth, microSD up to 8GB, MMS, WAP and GPRS browsing, and support for Java apps and games.

Cherry Mobile Tryo Q60 at 50% Off? No, Not Exactly… Just 1K Less!

Okay. The homegrown brand, Cherry Mobile, will turn 2 come July 16th; and part of its celebration is a 1-day nationwide sale of its triple SIM phone – the Tryo Q60.

Php 4,999? It should be Php 3,499.

A friend of mine actually tipped me off last week about the promo, but decided not to publish anything here ‘coz I believe it doesn’t completely make sense, not unless the poster is revised. Seriously, when consumers are offered with "50% discount" on units at a very short period of time (10AM to 7PM on this case) – it tends to create hype that sometimes lead into frustration.

Straight to the point, I think Cherry Mobile doesn’t have to advertise the forthcoming sale of its Tryo Q60, as if it’s indeed 50% off from the original price. It’s deceptive and misleading. I’m aware that Tryo Q60 once had a price tag of Php 4,999 before, but I’m also aware the price was changed already to just Php 3,499 with FREE back covers. In fact, they posted its latest price list effective June 21st, 2011.

Tryo Q60 Current Price: Php 3,499 with FREE Back Covers

The point is, the cross-marked P4,999 on posters should have been replaced with P3,499. At least that would be fair for consumers, knowing how much exactly they will get in the promo. Am I right?

I hope we receive a word from Cherry Mobile why it goes that way.

Cherry Mobile Superion Tablet Quick Tour on its Froyo OS

As promised, here’s the video I created while having a quick tour on the Cherry Mobile Superion tablet more than a week ago.

The device is powered by a 600 MHz Qualcomm processor only, with 512 MB ROM and 512 MB RAM as well, so it’s not really a big surprise that there’s a lag on some parts of the interface. Remember that the device is running the Android 2.2 (Froyo) OS, the same operating system that powers the Galaxy Tab but the latter has faster processor. You may check out Cherry Mobile Superion full specs.

I apologize for not editing the video much. And oh, since Christmas is approaching – I decided to have a background music that will fit the theme of the holiday season. I think that would be better. I really bet. Watch the video after the break!
